ProWein organisers deny event will be cancelled because of Coronavirus fears
The organizers of ProWein have denied they are planning to cancel next month's event, as the Coronovirus continues to spread across Europe.
“At this stage there is no reason to cancel, postpone or shorten ProWein,” said Erhard Wienkamp, Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.
“Of course, we take the concerns of our customers, guests, partners and neighbours regarding the coronavirus very seriously. Their safety is always our top priority. There is still a high level of approval for ProWein from exhibitors and visitors. There are no objections from either experts or authorities to the holding of trade fairs. No effects of the virus in public life can be felt in Düsseldorf."
He added that ProWein was actively following current developments, and maintaining direct contact with the health authorities to keep up to date with the latest news on the spread of the virus.
