VINEX is an independent provider of technology based services owned by Vin-Exchange Ltd (Company No 9908869) with offices at 88 Lower Marsh Road, London SE1 7AB UK; and is supported by experienced wine industry professionals.
Our mission is to provide industry-leading, best practice trading tools, support processes, and supply-chain services that integrate with wine organisations, lower overall transaction costs, increasing their sustainability and that are important to members when sourcing and offering wholesale wine, within and across all markets.
In 2014, VINEX recognised an opportunity to introduce trading technology that lower transaction costs, increase value and promote sustainability across the greater wine industry.
In 2016, proprietary trading, sampling and market reporting technology was launched integrating the unique processes and security required of a comprehensive, global trading marketplace, advancing the efficiency, reach and growth of business to business wine trading operating.
VINEX has grown to becomes a provider of technology based market services since it launched its marketplace, which now include payments and a supply management platform, with associated services in freight & logistics and sampling.
Independently owned, VINEX provides a range of business to business services to members. Through secure digitised connection, members with an account can connect and trade bulk wines (including grape juice, must, juice concentrate, wine, fortified and spirit) and bottled wines (including unlabelled, private labels and producer brands).

Independent integrity
VINEX is independent. The Company is not owned or aligned with any other company or organisation in the wine industry. Nor does it produce or take ownership of wines. Being independent gives VINEX the ability and integrity to provide members with an objective and trustworthy marketplace to directly connect with other members and offer or source wines, and remain up to date with market trends and developments.
Ensuring legal, ethical and fair trading
VINEX ensures legal, ethical and fairness in trading for all members large or small. In addition to a verification process on registration, members must agree to comply with the Trading Rules. VINEX protects the identity of all members, providing anonymity to ensure each is treated equally and fairly, ensuring a completely objective assessment of value. Finally, for the benefit of both parties, all trades are subject to Clearing & Settlement approval, including acceptance of a final sample and specifications prior to signing a Sale & Purchase Agreement.
Secure technology
The VINEX marketplace utilises the latest, transactional technology ensuring integrity and fairness in trading. It communicates using 256 bit SHA-2 secured SSL protocols, applying a hybrid cryptosystem utilising both asymmetric and symmetric encryption.
For optimum performance and security, VINEX may not be accessible on older, unsupported PC or Mac browser versions, including Internet Explorer. You should ensure your Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox browser is updated and running the latest operating software version.
The system has sophisticated load-sharing capabilities and an inbuilt triple redundancy service across international locations, provided by one of the world’s largest hosting providers. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
VINEX does not trade its own wine, take the title over any parcel of, or packaged wine, nor produce wine or own wine production facilities. VINEX is not aligned with any other wine business. VINEX does not guarantee the quality or winemaking compliance of a listed product but does provide a comprehensive sampling process and analytical service to customers. Any wine listing making quality certification claims must provide evidence of that certification for verification before a trade can be approved. VINEX does not facilitate the sale of wine to consumers, nor deliver wine samples to persons under the legal drinking age.
