Chile's Top 10 wine producers for exports of bottled wine
Two thirds of all bottled wine exported from Chile is made by just 10 wine producing companies.
Using statisitcs based on Wines of Chile's export figures for bottled wine between June 2015 and May 2016, Drinks Business magazine has compiled a list of what it has billed as the "The Top 10 Most Powwerful Winemakers in Chile".
The list only covers volume levels not value and does not include bulk wine production.
1. Concha y Toro, Marcelo Papa: 155.6 million bottles
2. Viña San Pedro, Marco Puyo: 84.4 million bottles
3. Cono Sur, Adolfo Hurtado: 33.9 million bottles
4. Viña Luis Felipe Edwards, Nicolas Bizzarri: 30.1 million bottles
5. Santa Carolina, Andrés Caballero: 23.2 million bottles
6. Santa Rita, Andrés Ilabaca: 22.2 million bottles
7. Viña Maipo, Max Weinlaub: 16.8 million bottles
8. Vinicola de Aguirre, Claudio Gonçalves: 11.5 million bottles
9. Viña Requingua, Benoit Fitte: 10.9 million bottles
10. Viñedos Emiliana, Cesar Morales: 10.3 million bottles
